Washington Enjoyed Hard Cider

For the fans of Tippecanoe; a partisan advertisement on behalf of Harrison and Tyler. Harrison won the 1841 election on the basis of the Panic of 1837, blaming Van "Ruin", incumbent, for it's failure. Nonetheless, the windbag Harrison talked for two hours and paraded around and ended up dying just a month later.
The ad though is just grand. I love the little guy in the corner with his corkscrew meddling about announcing, "I shall endeavor to slop the supply!".
Indeed, of course, Washington himself endeavored the Cider, according to legend he ordered 500 barrels to keep himself lubed up during the Revolutionary War.
