Cocktail of the Day - London Sidecar

A cool variation of the original sidecar.

2 oz. Gin
1 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. Lemon Juice
Toss them in a cocktail shaker, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

This is a delightful cocktail, I must warn you it is vital to use fresh lemon juice, although for my taste a tad sour. Of course, you could ad an extra half ounce of gin in substitution of the lemon juice. The cocktail centers on the flavor of the triple sec which is complimented well with citrus, obviously, balancing the dryness. Gin is not very prominent in this cocktail, which is why I am hesitant to say it is a great cocktail but it is certainly a fine one to try. The juniper, orange, lemon combination isn't common but worth the effort of experimentation.
