Fine NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg is attempting to run for a third term. Today he faces a thumbs up or down vote by the City Council to overturn the law limiting mayors to a measly two terms. Let us see if this council of poltroons has the strength and tenacity to stand up to this power-hungry autocrat.
Overall, Bloomberg hasn't been terrible, in fact he had the city decently prepared, although it's too early to see the full effect of the Wall Street meltdown. His success in office doesn't warrant a third and unprecedented term, it warrants another sound victory for a hand-picked Republican of his choice. Our fine mayor must beware of fortune's path to hamartia.
Preserve the Republic you buffoons and oppose Bloomberg.
Chances of his being opposed: Not Good
